Aloo Patta Gobhi is the combination of healthy cabbage and some potatoes. Both are simply cooked in spices, onion and tomatoes. This recipe be made on daily basis as a great side dish, because it is healthy, tasty and best option with any dal recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 medium size cabbage finely sliced
- 2 medium size potatoes (peeled and diced)
- 1-1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- Few curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 small onions chopped
- 2-3 small tomatoes chopped
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1-1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
- A pinch of dry mango powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
How to make Indian Cabbage and Potato:
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Allow the seeds to splutter.
- Now add onions and ginger garlic paste.
- Fry till golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes ,turmeric powder and rest of the powdered spices.
- Season the dish with some salt.
- Mix well and cook till oil separates.
- Add diced potatoes and stir fry for few minutes.
- When the potatoes little bit tenders, then add chopped cabbage.
- Mix well, cover the pan and cook on low flame until the vegetables are done and water fully evaporates.
- Serve hot with Indian chapatis, puri or parathas.
