How to make Cream of Spinach Soup Recipe:
Cream of Spinach Soup Recipe is made with Spinach (Palak) and Fresh cream. It is a low calorie soup recipe, contains all healthy and nutritional values.
Ingredients
- 4 cups palak (spinach), finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon fresh cream
- 1 cup white sauce
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder to taste
Instructions
- Cook the spinach in 4 cups of water and add chopped onion. Boil on medium high flame for about 10 minutes. Cool the spinach and then blend the mixture in a liquidizer and strain.
- Keep it again on a high heat and boil for 5 more minutes. Add salt, black pepper, white sauce and lemon juice. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve the soup in individual serving bowls and garnish with fresh cream.
Notes
Spinach is healthy and loaded with lots of iron, hence you can drink this soup on daily basis.
Chef Tips:
- Read the simplest way of making White Sauce, or else you can use ready made one.
- Do not add cream, if you are drinking it on daily basis. Because cream makes it heavy and high in calories.
- This soup can be served hot or chilled.
