Paneer Franky is a yummy snack recipe made with delicious grated paneer and vegetables of your choice. The spicy and flavorful marination is placed in maida roti and makes a tempting paneer franky. Learn to make easy and tasty paneer franky, you just need to wrap it, roll it and have it.

Ingredients:
- 200 gms cottage cheese (malai paneer) grated
- 4 plain cheese cubes
- 2 onions thinly chopped
- 3 tomatoes finely chopped
- 4 green chillies chopped
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp jeera powder
- Chaat masala to sprinkle
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 cup butter
- Fresh coriander leaves chopped
For making Franky you need:
- 4 cups maida
- 100 gms yogurt (curd)
- 1 tsp pure ghee
- Salt to taste
- Water
For making Green Chutney you need:
- 1 bowl of fresh coriander leaves
- 5-6 pudina leaves
- 2 green chillies
- 1 inch ginger
- 8-10 pieces of peeled garlic
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 lemon juice
How to make Paneer Franky:
- In a heating oil add mustard seeds, curry leaves and green chillies, saute for a minute.
- Add 1 chopped onion and cook on low flame for 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, grated paneer, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
- Cover the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame.
- Now add garam masala powder and jeera powder, mix well.
- Add fresh chopped coriander leaves and cook for a minute. Keep aside.
- For making green chutney, mix all the ingredients, add little bit of water and blend into a smooth paste.
- In a bowl take yogurt, add water and whisk the curd properly to make a liquid based curd.
- In another mixing bowl add maida, salt, ghee and make a dough by pouring small-small quantity of liquid curd.
- Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and keep aside for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, divide the dough into 8 equal parts.
- Take one part of dough in your palms, coat with the dry maida and roll it like you roll a roti.
- Make sure the rolled out roti or tortilla should be thin as it is maida.
- Now heat a pan on a medium flame and place the rolled out chapati.
- Turn it with the spatula and cook properly from both the sides.
- Remove from the pan.
- Spread the butter on one side of the chapati and spoonful green coriander chutney.
- In the center place the cooked paneer.
- Sprinkle some chopped onion.
- Grate a half of a cube of cheese on it and sprinkle chaat masala.
- Fold it from down side first and then from left and right hand side one by one.
- Yummy Franky is ready to eat.
Chef Tips:
- Place the paneer mixture on the roti at the time of serving only, else it will become very soft.
- Instead of grated paneer you may use paneer cubes.
I tried to make it with ready made roti available in daily shop and it turned out okay. Thanks for the recipe though.
