Meetha Aam Ka Achar Recipe

Meetha Aam Ka Achar is nothing but the sweet mango pickle, made with fresh mango, mustard and fenugreek seeds. This is one of the most delicious pickle dish and you can serve it daily with your favorite meal.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups kg raw mango (aam), grated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp Mustard seeds (Rai/Sarson)
  • 2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 2 tsp Red chili pepper (Lal Mirchi)
  • 20 gm Salt (Namak)
  • A pinch of asafoetida (hing)

How to make Metha Aam Ka Achar (Sweet Mango Pickle) :

  1. Grind mustard seeds coarsely and set aside.
  2. In a big bowl, combine all the ingredients very well and add coarsely ground mustard seeds as well.
  3. Now place the prepared pickle mixture in an air tight jar and put a tight lid.
  4. Shake the pickle twice daily, it will get ready in 3-4  days.
  5. Serve with your favorite meal.
