Cardamom Shake is a mixed, smoothie shake recipe made with milk, coconut and cardamom seeds. A lovely drink is best to serve in hot summer season.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups condensed milk
- 2 tbsp dry coconut (shredded and fried)
- 1 tsp fresh green ground cardamom
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp cardamom seeds
- 1-1/2 tsp poppy seeds
- 3 tbsp Cashew nuts chopped
- 3 tbsp roasted almonds chopped
How to make cardamom shake:
- Heat a non-stick saucepan and add poppy and cardamom seeds.
- Saute on low heat and dry-roast them by turning often for about 5-6 minutes.
- Now mix the roasted poppy and cardamom seeds, chopped cashews, almonds , dry coconut and water in a blender or food processor fitted with the metal blade.
- Blend for 2-3 minutes until reduced to a fine puree.
- Add 2 cups of milk and process on low-speed for 10 more seconds.
- Pour the mixture through a strainer over a pan.
- Squeeze out the maximum amount of liquid form.
- Add the remaining milk and ground cardamom.
- Bring the mixture to few boils by stirring occasionally over moderate high flame.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar and mix well.
- Pour the milk back to forth from one pan to another until it is frothy.
- Serve immediately in warmed cups.
