Cardamom Shake Recipe

Cardamom Shake is a mixed, smoothie shake recipe made with milk, coconut and cardamom seeds. A lovely drink is best to serve in hot summer season.Cardamom Shake

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp dry coconut (shredded and fried)
  • 1 tsp fresh green ground cardamom
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom seeds
  • 1-1/2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 3 tbsp Cashew nuts chopped
  • 3 tbsp roasted almonds chopped

How to make cardamom shake:

  1. Heat a non-stick saucepan and add poppy and cardamom seeds.
  2. Saute on low heat and dry-roast them by turning often for about 5-6 minutes.
  3. Now mix the roasted poppy and cardamom seeds, chopped cashews, almonds , dry coconut and water in a blender or food processor fitted with the metal blade.
  4. Blend for 2-3 minutes until reduced to a fine puree.
  5. Add 2 cups of milk and process on low-speed for 10 more seconds.
  6. Pour the mixture through a strainer over a pan.
  7. Squeeze out  the maximum amount of liquid form.
  8. Add the remaining milk and ground cardamom.
  9. Bring the mixture to few boils by stirring occasionally over moderate high flame.
  10. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes.
  11. Stir in the sugar and mix well.
  12. Pour the milk back to forth from one pan to another until it is frothy.
  13. Serve immediately in warmed cups.
