In a big bowl, add Chicken Pieces, Tandoori Masala, Red chili powder, Jeera Powder, Garam Masala Powder and Salt to taste. Mix it very well. For exact quantities of Spices, please refer the recipe Rich Snippet below:Add Ginger-Garlic Paste and mix it very well.Add Red-Orange Food Color and continue mix it for few seconds.Add fresh Yogurt and give a nice stir.Mix all the ingredients very well in such a way, so that all the chicken pieces gets well coated. Keep the marination in refrigerator at least for 30 minutes.Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F and bring the chicken at room temperature. Bake the chicken pieces in preheated oven for 40 minutes, till the chicken is well cooked.
How to make Tandoori Chicken Lollipops Recipe:
Tandoori Chicken Lollipops Recipe is the famous Indian Chicken Appetizer dish. Here Chicken Leg Pieces are marinated in spicy mixture of Yogurt and Spices.
Ingredients
- 6 Chicken Leg Pieces
- 4 tablespoon plain yogurt (curd/dahi)
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon tandoori masala
- ½ teaspoon of Jeera powder (cumin powder)
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- 2 pinch's of red-orange food color
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Take a big bowl and mix 2 tbsp yogurt, 1 tsp tandoori masala, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp jeera powder, 1/2 tsp ginger paste, 1/2 tsp garlic paste, 1 tsp red chili powder, 2 pinch's of red-orange food color and salt to taste.
- Mix all the ingredients very well and marinate the chicken pieces in this mixture.
- Coat all the leg pieces very well and keep the mixture in refrigerator at least for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F and take out the chicken mixture from the fridge.
- Bake the chicken pieces in preheated oven for 40 minutes, till the chicken is well cooked.
- Wrap each drumstick leg with a small piece of foil at the base of the drumstick so that it looks nice and can be hold at that end while eating.
- Enjoy easy, homemade chicken lollipops immediately.
Notes
While serving chicken lollipops, sprinkle some lemon juice or chaat masala over the pieces. You can serve these delicious Chicken Lollipops with Coriander or Mint Chutney.
Chef Tip:
If you do not have oven, then you can deep fry or shallow fry these chicken drumsticks in medium hot oil.
